SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVES AT DCS
Intermediate/Advanced Level
July 8-26, 2024
DANCE CONSERVATORY Seattle is pleased to offer a three-week summer dance intensive taught by current and former professional dancers. For Ages 12-21 at an Intermediate/Advanced Level of Ballet Training. (This level is equivalent to our Level 4/5 Intermediate/ Advanced Teens regular course and is appropriate for dancers training 3-6 times per week). The summer course includes Ballet technique classes, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, contemporary, partnering & choreography. Classes taught by current and former dance professionals, including, Joshua Grant (Former Soloist at Pacific Northwest Ballet), Kaori Nakamura (Former Principal at Pacific Northwest Ballet), Chris Montoya (University of Washington MFA, formerly with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo), Ayumi Matsuda. Other teachers soon to be announced and all teachers are subject to change.

Intermediate Level
July 15-26, 2024
This camp is for ages 12-18 and those dancers that have been taking recent ballet or dance classes for 2 to 3 years, taking at least 2-3 classes per week. (This is equivalent to our Level 3 Ballet program). The summer course includes Ballet technique classes, pre-pointe instruction, modern, jazz, contemporary, & choreography. Classes taught by current and former dance professionals, including, Joshua Grant (Soloist at Pacific Northwest Ballet), Kaori Nakamura (Former Principal at Pacific Northwest Ballet), Chris Montoya (University of Washington MFA and formerly with Les Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo), Sierra Keith, Emily Sneeringer and other dance professionals. Other teachers soon to be announced and all teachers are subject to change.
Beginner Level
July 8-12, 2024
This camp is for ages 12-18 and those dancers that have either never taken dance before or only have minimal dance experience. (This level is equivalent to our Ballet Level 2 program, which is for those newer dancers taking 1-2 times per week). The summer course includes Ballet technique classes, pre-pointe instruction, modern, jazz, contemporary, & choreography. Classes taught by current and former dance professionals, including, Joshua Grant (Soloist at Pacific Northwest Ballet), Kaori Nakamura (Former Principal at Pacific Northwest Ballet), Chris Montoya (University of Washington MFA and formerly with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo), Sierra Keith, Emily Sneeringer and other dance professionals. Other teachers soon to be announced and all teachers are subject to change.

Please send a video (5 minutes max) of your dancer to info.dancecs@gmail.com and the DCS Artistic Staff will determine which Intensive Level best suits your dancer. You may also email info.dancecs@gmail.com about other options for placement.
